EWAN Brown, the former chairman of Lloyds TSB Scotland, has been named as the new chairman of Scottish Financial Enterprise (SFE).
He replaces Mark Tennant, who is retiring after three years at the helm of the financial services trade body.
Brown, who is deputy chair of the Edinburgh International Festival and also holds non-executive directorships at merchant bank Noble Grossart and transport giant Stagecoach, said he felt “privileged” to take up the unpaid post and represent the financial services industry, which directly employs around 100,000 people in Scotland.
He added: “The industry has of course faced challenges in recent times and the current global uncertainties will present us with others in the coming years.”
