Scottish hotel group Macdonald has returned to the Welsh market with an agreement to manage the Dragon Hotel in Swansea.
The recently refurbished city centre hotel will have access to the distribution channels and sales and marketing support afforded to Macdonald’s 45 properties, but will continue to be owned by London and Devonshire Trust.
There are currently no plans to use the Macdonald Hotels & Resorts brand name on the Dragon.
Chris Gillett, head of Macdonald Hotels Management Services, said: “This agreement enables us to re-establish our presence in the Welsh market and to real value to the hotel’s business – and in particular its corporate market.”
