Arran Brewery’s Veronica Michaluk is to market her family’s beer internationally after the firm secured a grant from Scottish Enterprise to help its exports drive.
Michaluk, who runs the company alongside her father Gerald and previously managed the brewery in Brodick, becomes the firm’s first international marketing manager.
One of her first acts has been to appoint a direct salesman for southern Europe. Scottish Enterprise’s export managers scheme means 50 per cent of the wages for the post are paid for one year.
Fast-growing Arran has taken over the Isle of Skye Brewery and the former Rosebank distillery in Falkirk in recent months, and sealed a deal to bottle and distribute beer for Munich’s Hofbrauhaus.
