TSG secures British Cycling IT contract

TECHNOLOGY firm TSG has secured a contract to provide IT support to the cycling governing body in the UK.

British Cycling, which last week saw a successful year on the roads and track capped off with knighthoods for performance director David Brailsford and Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins, has entrusted the group to look after its computer networks that handle data for more than 50,000 members.

TSG chief executive David Stonehouse said the Newcastle-based firm, which has offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Hamilton, will provide round-the-clock monitoring and automated fixes to ensure the sporting body can concentrate on delivering more successes.

He added: “British Cycling are renowned for making the tough selection decisions that yield exceptional results.

“We’re proud to be part of the team and are confident that while we take care of their IT systems, they can focus on delivering the programme that will build on the hugely impressive achievements of 2012.”
