BrewDog, the Fraserburgh-based brewer, has officially opened its tenth UK “craft beer bar”, in Birmingham.
The new pub will be the last opening of 2012, a year in which BrewDog has launched five bars.
BrewDog chief executive James Watt said: “As with any revolution, it needs the support of the masses and with the opening of BrewDog Birmingham, we can now say we are a step closer to having a physical presence in all the major cities in the UK.”
The plans involve opening a further ten bars in the UK in 2013, bring the total to 20.

BAE wins £249m US navy contract
DEFENCE giant BAE Systems yesterday landed a $400 million (£249m) contract to maintain and service more than 300 training aircraft for the United States navy.
BAE said the contract – which covers inspections, repairs and logistical support for the navy’s T-34, T-44 and T-6 trainer aircraft – would help it expand its services business.
Analysts said that the deal – which could last for up to five years – was a major win for BAE, which beat incumbent Sikorsky Aircraft and L-3 Communications to secure the agreement.
BAE edged up 0.2p to 339.1p.
