Scottish manufacturer Steel Engineering is likely to create jobs after winning a contract to supply wind turbine jackets to Korean giant Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI).
The Renfrew-based engineering company won the business on the back of SHI’s £100 million agreement to build turbines at the Energy Park at Methil, Fife.
The deal also includes
additional on-site work after
delivery and transition steelwork for a wind turbine generator system.

A major contract like this will help fuel our ambitious expansion plans and is likely to boost future job creation in Renfrew and also in Fife.”
