Asco Group, the Aberdeen-based energy logistics specialist, has been awarded a key contract in Australia worth more than $20 million (£12m).

The three-year deal with Eni will see the firm supply a number of operations in the Northern Territory and Western Australia. Services include warehousing, pipeyard storage and handling, land transportation, vessel chartering and waste management.

Ashley Harrison, managing director of Asco Australia, said: “We are making fantastic progress in establishing ourselves as a leader in the growing Australian oil and gas market.

“This contract award supports this and we look forward to the safe and efficient delivery of our services for this client.”

Asco has had a presence in Australia since 2010, when it bought ShoreBase.
